Football – $75 Organizer – Mike Pfeifer 573-719-8554 mexicooptimistsports@gmail.com Mexico Optimist Club Youth Football program is open to all area youth in grades 3 through 6. Our cheer and football teams are members of the North Central Youth Football League. We typically practice 2-3 weeknights starting early-August and have games from early-September through October. The season consists of 5-6 league games and at least one jamboree (most games are held on Saturdays). Home games will be played at Hawthorne Heights (MHS field) and away games will be throughout North/Central Missouri. Equipment pick-up will be late-July. All players will be supplied helmet, shoulder pads, pants w/ pads, practice jersey and game jersey. A new custom game jersey is provided for their 1st and 3rd seasons. (If a new jersey is needed any other time, parent is responsible for $30 replacement fee.) Additional gear to be supplied at player’s expense. It is vital that every player attend all practices and games. We are a team and rely on each member. Please plan to dedicate 6-8 weeks to this program if you choose to participate. Our cheer and football teams are members of the North Central Youth Football League. We typically practice two weeknights starting mid-August and cheer at games from early-September through October. The season consists of 5-6 league games and at least one jamboree (most games are held on Saturdays). Home games will be played at Hawthorne Heights (MHS field) and away games will be throughout North/Central Missouri. Your registration fee includes a cheer t-shirt, pom poms, and a bow. Additional gear may be needed at the participant’s expense. It is vital that every cheerleader attend all practices and games. We are a team and rely on each member. Cross Country – $45 Organizer – Vickie Tanner 660-651-8083 vickiemwilson02@hotmail.com Mexico Optimist Club Hounds Cross Country is open to all youth ages 6 to 14. We are members of Central Missouri Athletic Circuit and YES Athletics. We typically practice 2-3 weeknights starting mid-July and have weekend meets early-September through early-November. Our meets are located throughout Central Missouri and all participants can qualify for Regional and National Championships. Your registration fee includes YES Athletics and CMAC memberships, meet fees, and a running singlet. Additional gear may be needed at the participant’s expense. It is vital that every runner attend all practices and games. We are a team and rely on each member. Please plan to dedicate 3 months to this program if you choose to participate.
